So what's the difference? Let me try to explain...
According to Oxford Dictionary
Psychic is:
Relating to or denoting faculties or phenomena that are apparently inexplicable by natural laws, especially involving telepathy or clairvoyance.
"psychic powers"
Medium is:
Mediumship is the practice of mediating communication between spirits of the dead and living human beings. Practitioners are known as "mediums" or "spirit mediums". There are different types of mediumship or spirit channelling, including seánce tables, trance, and ouija
Now, according to me, the short version is... Not all psychics are mediums, but all mediums are psychic.
Mystic, how I see it.
Now THIS is the title that I feel best describes me. I'll make this very simple. A mystic questions alot about existence. My own personal experiences mean more to me than a formal doctrine. This is why when asked what denomination I am, I respond , "I'm spiritual, not religious". Mystics value intuition, both in ourselves and in others. During a consultation, I often ask, " what did your gut tell you?". As a society we've been taught to ignore what we know and know what we're told. I disagree with that wholeheartedly.
I believe in internal, over external measurements of growth. Now that doesn't mean I discount certification or other standards of educational success. But instead, that means that just because you went to seminary, that doesn't translate that you are a conduit for The Divine, God, Buddha or whatever you call our Creator. I also believe that I do not know everything.I know that power comes through me...not from me.
I am deeply connected to the earth and animals around us. I work with and
through the energy that The Divine has placed in and around this world and the next. So yes, I am a mystic.
